GPS with me in Langkawi

Brought my GPS down to Langkawi during the weekend. Quite useful and the maps were pretty accurate (except a new road that I went only while I missed a turn.)

On my way back, I actually forgot to turn off my mobile phone while on the plane. It took off from Langkawi and I fell asleep. Just before touching down, I received an SMS and it woke me up. I just wondered how far out I was to get such strong signal :
