The days are short. This is what the sky looks like just before 5pm :
I usually leave like 10 or 15 mins after 5, and it is dark.
And another scary realization - mortgage rates here are just too high for me to buy a house. On the flip side, the savings interest rates are high too, which I am enjoying.
Now if only I can have low interest rates from nice lenders in Singapore... Anyone ? :)

It's winter! On the flip side, it's bright until nearly 9pm in summer with daylight saving on.
As for mortgage rates, be careful with borrowing overseas (unless you hedge your currency bet). A$ will not stay this high forever and you might find yourself having to pay back the S$ with much more A$ when the currency fluctuates. And mortgage rates don't stay this high forever too, you can wait for it to drop and save more in the meantime.
